Earthquake or tsunami consequences in the area where the plant is located

No moored vessel can be affected by earthquake.

Concerning pipeline, it should be highlighted that Italy for gas import (which stands for 78% of the national needs) uses only steel pipelines (nearly 36.000 km) laid on a seismic territory (for example, the Transmed pipeline in Calabria).

Moreover, it should also be noted that gas and heavy hydrocarbons are transported worldwide by steel pipelines in areas considered highly critical in terms of earthquakes intensity and frequency (Japan, Turkey, California). However, all these important aspects have been analyzed during the construction phase of the plant and it is demonstrated that an eventual tsunami would not cause any damage neither on the population nor on the employees on board the Terminal FSRU Toscana since it is moored to the seabed.
